Freedom Found

She rocks to the rhythm

Turbulent waters lapping 

The melodic sound of the waves 

Luring him in 

The force of need is strong

He weakens as she pleads 

Running his had upon her side 

Electric excitement mounts

Climbing aboard her 

He strides across the deck 

Unfurling her sails

Open seas straight ahead 

He gives her head

Allowing her full reign 

Guiding her gently 

Out of harbors nest 

Upon the open water 

She tosses herself about 

Dark skies greet this maiden 

 Longed for freedom found

Freedom for Tomorrow

Until we let our past be past 

It will haunt us to the core 

It's evil fingers digging deep 

Drawing blood for evermore 

It crawls deep beneath our skin 

Festering deep sorrow 

Until we stomp this beast to death 

And seek freedom for tomorrow 

 

Purge these demons from your mind 

 No longer having hold 

Look towards a new day 

A bright future to enfold 

Freedom from a painful past 

Sad memories need shed 

A future filled with happiness 

A past now stone cold dead 

Hold on to precious memories 

Let go of all the bad 

There is a life awaiting you 

A glorious future to be had
